The greenhouse effect is a process that occurs when gases in Earth's atmosphere trap the Sun's heat. This process makes Earth much warmer than it would be without an atmosphere. The greenhouse effect is one of the things that makes Earth a comfortable place to live. General aims: students will develop an understanding about the environment around them and the processes that take place there and will ecological problems. Subject specific aim: explain the greenhouse effect and identify the factors influencing it, indicating its impact on the environment Linguistic aims: - to listen English with ease - to read English with ease - to understand content - to learn from written texts - to enable students to understand topic correctly - to translate words into the mother tongue using their own words. This product is aimed at students of 11 - 13 years old. Level of competence in English (CEFR): B1 +/B2 Time required to use the resource with the students: about 20-25 minutes. How to use it: The information provided may be used as lesson material. Here is a short video about the greenhouse effect, clear and vivid images around, easily understood information.
