BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

The Irish Science Teachers’ Association is Ireland’s largest and longest running second level subject association. Founded in 1962 our aim is to keep members informed of developments in science education in Ireland and to provide continuing professional development to support science teachers.

HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS

The association has a database of over 1,400 science teacher members. We regularly update our teachers of developments in science education and would be most willing to do so in this case. We also run a journal and are very interested and willing to publish articles on the project for our members.
