General aims: - to learn about art and holograms - to be able to create a hologram - to know the language associated with optical illusions - to develop positive learning habits such as organisational and problem-solving skills. Linguistic aims: - to read English with ease - to understand content - to learn from written texts - to express opinion - to enable students to understand topic correctly - to develop academic language - to translate words connected with probability in English into the mother tongue using their own words. Subject specific aims: - to familiarise students with the properties of optical illusions and holograms in art - to enable students to creat holograms Target group age: The lesson is aimed at grades 8-9. The resource is recommended to teachers who want to teach art using English. Level of competence in English (CEFR) B1 Time required to use the resource with the students: 1-2 lessons. How to use it The teacher should ask the students to read the resource at home before the lesson and then discuss it in class. One of the ideas to use is to create their own hologram. In my opinion, this lesson plan is a very useful resource.
