Description
This activity presents the student with 12 words on 'tiles' and asks them to move the tiles to the matching definition. It is available on wordwall.net and set on a ten minute timer, with the function of shuffling the tiles for each attempt. The correct answers are shown at the end.
There is a leaderboard that challenges students to improve their times and also compete with each other.
The activity allows for recycling the language, both the basic vocabulary and the technical terms.
It could be used in class or as a homework or revision activity.
The printable pdf of the activity presents the words as a matching activity. This could be added to a student notebook to have a more permanent record of the new vocabulary.
