I found this project useful from the content point of view, as well international cooperation and common activities developed by teachers together motivates staff. Pupils like additional resources, especially when they are visual (video material).

From the point of view of the teacher of English, all of the materials/videos are very useful first of all because by using them we can expose our students to different accents and varieties of English. Also, the materials can be used as a starting point for different discussions in the classroom and they help students develop their listening skills. Moreover, these materials help students acquire key words related to Science.

All sources of biology are useful because they present biological processes in an attractive and well documented way.

The most useful sources, from my interest point of view, would be the videos produced for the Biology discipline; videos like Proteins - compounds in food or Stem Cells or The Greenhouse Effect. The materials prove scientific reliability and presents attractiveness for the students. The materials are authentic. The contents are very well explained and the language use is very clear. Therefore, the learning of content and the simultaneous learning of a foreign language is very well integrated.

The content of the video relates to chemistry as well as technology, which is very useful as it encourages students to make connections. The topic is also a current issue, plastics and polymers. The explanations are clear and concise, and their content is further made explicit by drawings. The video focuses on preventing plastic waste and using recycle whenever possible. I highly appreciate the summary at the end of the video which reviews the main points of the lesson, encouraging students to reflect on what they have just learned. If they watch the video at home and think they have not understood a point, they can watch the video again - also useful to practice and consolidate their English.

Properties of metals 1: Physical Properties was a really useful material for me and my students. The usefulness of this video lies in the multitude of examples used throughout the video. Moreover, it is really suitable that each example includes real-life images. Throughout the video, the learners can constantly relate to their surrounding environment. Another aspect that makes this video useful is the organization of information. The information is presented by means of bullet points and it is easy to follow. Each informative section that appears on the screen is well timed and easy to read. Here and there the learner is informed that the section that follows to appear on the screen aims at answering a series of questions. The speaker’s pronunciation of the specific vocabulary used in the video is appropriate and makes the material easy to understand and go through.

The information the video on Renewable Energies: Part 1 provides students are reliable and relevant to my context. The explanations are short and always made explicit by drawings and pictures – which appeals to students. Students are not only encouraged to improve their knowledge in the subject but also to practice their English (an innovation). Students can also watch the video at home as many times as they want to feel confident about their English. The video can be used in online classes: it is short and well-structured. The video also encourages students to make connections between school subjects: physics, chemistry and technology. I’ll used it in my classes and also alert my colleagues about it.

The video Hydrocarbons - alkanes, alkenes and alkynes looks at three hydrocarbon molecules: alkanes, alkenes and alkynes with a view to comparing and contrasting their properties. The video presentation consists of the teacher’s clear explanations accompanied by suggestive drawings as well as concrete examples from students’ reality. It is very well-structured, to the point, relevant to the topic and its format appeals to students. It can be used online and face-to-face. It can also be used with the flipped classroom method as it is very clear. We can have students to study it at home, discuss and deal with it in-depth in class. I also appreciate it as students are invited to learn not only about hydrocarbons but also English.

The video Lenses: Way of light through lenses is very useful and relevant to our context. I’ll use it with my students and I’ll also recommend it to my colleagues. It is scientifically reliable and attractive to students. It is concise, well-structured and accompanied by clear drawings and explanations. Students can watch it at home at their pace and watch it several times until they have everything clear.

I appreciated the video on aiming at explaining to students the relationship between predator and prey and the importance of adaptation. The explanations are clear and made explicit by suggestive and well-chosen pictures and drawings. The information relies on students’ previous knowledge and it is accessible and interesting. The topic is not a difficult one as most students are interested in this subject. The rhetoric questions invite students to reflect on the teacher’s explanations. I can use this source both in face-to-face and online classes. I’ll recommend this source – as this source helps students to practice their English too; another reason to make it attractive to students.

For the topics approached in my class, there is not a significant difference in usefulness between the different IOs available. The methodology provides a brief, yet sufficient introduction into the subject of CLIL teaching; the annexed suggestions and teaching resources aid lesson planning, and finally, the video resources provide useful scientific explanations. Since this is done in a friendly and comprehensible manner, that means the students can benefit from valuable, supplementary explanations on specific topics, delivered in an accessible language. The layout and design of the website is easy to follow and use, the sections are clearly defined and navigation is easy and intuitive. The subpages provide all the necessary information, and one upside of the design is that large chunks of information (e.g. the methodology) are stored in separate documents, which facilitates reading. Overall, the results of the CLIL4STEAM project are very useful for me as a teacher, and the manner in which they are available / presented makes their use easy.

The most useful for me are the videos on the following topics: Force of Gravity, Lenses, Our Plastic World, Photosynthesis, Predator and Prey, Properties of Metals, Proteins, Reflection and Refraction, Renewable Energies, Stem Cells, The Greenhouse Effect and Tricks of Light. They are interesting because they propose attractive scientific topics, with considerable impact and application in real life.

The video introduces students to an exciting topic: Stem cells: different types, what they do and their potential for therapeutic uses. Its information is reliable and consistent with my needs. The presenter’s explanations are short and always made explicit by well-selected drawings and pictures – which stick in students’ mind. The video uses lots of scientific concepts; however, they are presented clearly and students can also watch the video at home as many times as they want to feel confident about the way they are progressing both in English and science. The video is concise, clear and well-organised and, therefore, can be used in online classes. I’ll use it in my classes and also talk with my colleagues about it.

The video presents the physical properties of metallic elements in a very dynamic and colourful way, which makes it appealing to students. The information presented is rooted in students’ reality and the examples given makes explanations very clear. The video can be used in class and online. Students can also watch it at home (in the flipped classroom method) as the information is short and very clear. The teacher uses simple grammar structures and vocabulary to facilitate students’ understanding of the new concepts. I’ll use it with my students in my classes and also recommend it to my colleagues.

The lessons encourage positive thinking, the path to success in adolescents. Increasing optimism and focusing on solutions and not at the problem are basic goals in counseling now. The lessons are on the same wavelength at the counseling activities through this project.

I reviewed the video lesson ""Our Plastic World"" by myself as I found it interesting and I wished to know what it presents. This lesson relates to chemistry as well as technology and it is interesting for me. Lecturer presented with clear and nice English, I also checked some words in dictionary and learned them. ""I like the site and its CLIL method. It is great we can have lots of materials to choose from. We can also go in-depth with the topic if it is of interest (or the previous material we went through stirred our interest). I also like how interactive the quizzes are, allowing me instant feedback on my responses. The combination between learning science and English at the same time appeals to me, too. We, VET students, need foreign languages: to communicate with our peers from other countries in exchanges, in competitions, conferences or simply to read scientific articles in our field. We could benefit from a CLIL approach because our language textbooks follow the same structure as a general language course.

I really liked the site for its useful and attractive materials. I appreciated the video created introducing the topic: such videos encourage us, students, to learn the content and the necessary vocabulary; needless to say, their visual and auditory features help us retain the new content. The resources accompanying the videos consolidate our learning with intriguing and practical information and help us gain new perspectives on the issue (for instance, the way the same topic is dealt with in physics or chemistry classes). The quizzes are’ the cherry on the cake’! Very useful and some of them….addictive! Thank you for this learning experience!""
