Description
Practice of Math exercises involves active thinking and reasoning. When students get the practice they need they become more confident and proficient in the task. Practice of Maths exercises allows students to gain a deeper understanding and make connections between concepts. Students are doing more than passive rule following – they are engaging in thinking mathematically.
These exercises also allow practice of more specific vocabulary for arithmetic and mathematics. The exercise can be carried out in one class period but should instigate discussion that will require the students to use more than just the basic vocabulary for the exercise.
