Description
This is a cloze exercise which asks students to complete sentences by inserting the missing words. Cloze exercises may be used by beginner-level students to practice vocabulary, as well as advanced-level students to strengthen fluency and improve retention.
They have to chose the words from a list supplied. They can complete the task against a timer. The questions are shuffled between each attempt.
The tasks require both basic vocabulary and the technical terms. The activity could be carried out in class or given as a homework or revision task.
Cloze tests promote active production of vocabulary, not just recognition. They can be used to bolster vocabulary usage and free recall, reinforce grammatical knowledge and structural recognition, and strengthen overall comprehension. (https://www.clozemaster.com/blog/cloze-test/)
